And just like that

I used to say I dreaded the moment the party was over. And I suppose the older I get I understand that to mean a moment in which everything changes and there can never be a turning back.
The moment Schrödinger opened the box and we all crossed into a new universe with its own set of rules.
The older I get I look back over the years and I see those moments over and over, the ones that changed everything, never realizing they were happening all the time. And I continue to hope, irrationally, that surely I’ll be able to keep the next moments at bay. A way around them. To dodge and spin, duck, serpentine from them.
If you’re going to use Schrödinger, use him, brother. You can deep inside something there, metophorically speaking. You can get crazy. I’m working on using the Theory of Accretion as a metaphor, and boy I got down to all kinds of crazy details, and the more detail you use, the more opportunities you have to use someone else’s genius to make a point, something truthful, meaningful.
